Monologues

| May 7, 2008

Movies I like best are the ones played with monologues. With a background voice of and actor/actresses playing the movie or play at the same time. I enjoy watching these movies more than any others as they might reflect more on a true story rather than just another story.

Below are some of the favourites. Oh well, they are the only monologues I've watched, and I love all of them.

American History X (1998)

A story about 2 brothers. The elder 1 being a neo Nazi skinhead, anti black people, jews, the system, almost everything else, and a hero to his younger brother. Being the elder 1, realizes that all he has done was never worth anything and is trying to prevent his brother from following the same path.

Movie played by 2 of the most underrated actors, Edward Norton and Edward Furlong (remember him from Terminator 2?).

Moving on will be,

SLC Punk (1998)

A movie about 2 punks, doesn't really care about anything else except for the Punk culture in Salt Lake City. 1 of them, studied Law, just to beat the system. It's more to a comedy until the very last 15 minutes of the movie.

Of course there will be,

Fight Club (1999)

This movie is so good, words can't really explain the sypnosis. If you haven't watch this, go watch it.

Just watched this yesterday night. It's certainly not as good as the above 3 I've watched. But it's still very interesting.

Dear Wendy (2005)

A story about 1 young man who was given a small handgun. Had some strange feeling and was really drawn to it. Together with his best buddy, they founded a group called The Dandies. It all started with the interest only with the weapon. Later on, they developed to also have the interest in using them to show who's in control.

Read some reviews on this as well. Have yet to watch it. It sounds awesome.
Trainspotting (1996)
